MAKINGBHUPROUD: 20 STUDENTS OF BHU’S DEPT OF GEOPHYSICS  SELECTED IN ONGC AS GEOPHYSICIST

VARANASI: The Department of Geophysics, Institute of Science, BHU, has once again proved its might and eminence, with 20 of its students getting selected in the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation as Geophysicists. The students of M.Sc. (Tech) have made it to the highly competitive exam that sees participation of students from all over the country. Prof. Rajeev Bhatla, Head, Department of Geophysics, informed that a total of 61 candidates have been selected for the position, out of which 20 are from the department. The department of geophysics of BHU is considered among the most reputed departments in the country for studies and research in the area. Students from the department over the years have been making a mark in top competitive exams. Recently 22 students of the department had made it to the top hundred in GATE results 2023. Out of these four appeared in the top ten. The teachers and members of the department have congratulated the successful students for their selection in ONGC.
