U.P. Real Estate Appellate Tribunal’s “Online Justice Delivery System” has been awarded for Innovative Technology for Smart Governance

New dilli। U.P. Real Estate Appellate Tribunal’s “Online Justice Delivery System” has been awarded for Innovative Technology for Smart Governance and selected for award of e-Governance Initiatives-2022 by Computer Society of India.
Our Hon’ble Chairman, Justice Dr. D.K. Arora took initiative for exchange of pleadings through e-mail followed by a project of development for empowering the U.P. Real Estate Appellate Tribunal and all associated stakeholders with real time paperless justice delivery ICT enabled system, which is not only limited to digitalization of processes and functioning of this Tribunal, but also to run completely paperless court and to reduce case disposal time from few hundred days to 60 days as prescribed in the Act.
The development of Online Justice Delivery System was given to NIC, Delhi. The development and implementation team had worked under overall guidance of Hon’ble Justice, Dr. D.K. Arora and headed by Hon’ble Member Technical Mr Kamal Kant Jain.
The main members of the team includes Hon’ble Member Technical Mr KKJain , Dy. Director General of NIC Mr. Manoj Kr. Mishra and Mr. Manoj Tuli, Ms. Tahreem Khan, Registrar of the U.P. REAT , Mr. Krishna Yadav, E court incharge UPREAT and Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Consultant of NIC.
The main challenge of traditional judicial system was time taking processes specially with respect to service of notices, manual submission, exchange of pleadings etc . This digital initiative has facilitated various round the clock e-services and integration with Lower Court, through which information & documents related to appellants are being directly fetched from lower court. Also, case documents are accessible to all stakeholders throughout the case life cycle thus reducing time of serving notice and exchange of pleadings.
The UPREAT has achieved a true paperless court leading to Green Governance Compliance through “Online Justice delivery system “ developed by NIC. This initiative has resulted in saving of Notional cost of around Rs 100 crores yearly.
